POSITION SUMMARY
The Pump Technician 1 repairs and rebuilds customer equipment and maintains quality of service at a high level in support of the company’s sales efforts.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
The physical requirements for this position are typical for a medium work warehouse environment including frequent movement about the warehouse/office, climbing, standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping and lifting 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment for this position is typical for a warehouse including occasional exposure to loud noise and outside temperatures of heat/cold. The environment may occasionally include exposure to m oving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and working on scaffolding or high places.

Essential Duties
- Inspect, repair, and service customer equipment in the shop or in the field (as needed.)
- Safely drive and operate a company-owned vehicle. (as needed)
- Provide technical assistance to customers via phone or in-house.
- Teardown, Inspection, Failure analysis, and repair of pumps, blowers, vacuum pumps, PTO, gearboxes, and hydraulic pumps and motors.
- Promote and participate fully in communicating with management and other members of the sales team to encourage the flow of information related to jobs, projects, and quoting activity.
- General housekeeping of assigned area, assist with snow removal.
- Assist other teammates, Sales, Industrial counter and warehouse with tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to provide own tools. Welding knowledge a plus.
- Operate a Forklift, hoist, crane, hand tools, power tools, drills, band saw, drill press, lathe mills (optional), or other equipment deemed necessary to fulfill the job’s functions.
- Basic computer skills and internet software knowledge.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-2 years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
