Valve Technician

Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs maintenance, repair, and testing of various valves including relief valves, control valves, tank vents, etc.

Essential Duties

• Follow safety and quality procedures
• Cleaning, blasting, and painting of various valve components
• Operate equipment blaster, parts washer, torch, forklift, and other related equipment
• Performs re-machining or lapping of critical parts
• Perform field work as needed
  
  

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Must be able to read measuring devices
• Must be able to document and enter job data
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills
  
  

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this position are typical for a mobile employee including constant movement within a wide range of office environments, climbing, standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping and lifting 50 pounds.
