McElroy Manufacturing is looking for a skilled and motivated Precision Grinder to join our team! As a Precision Grinder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that parts are manufactured to the highest standards, on time, and at the lowest possible cost. You’ll be working with a team of dedicated professionals to meet production schedules, maintain quality, and optimize machine efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture high-quality parts with precision and efficiency, while ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to company standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout the production process.
- Operate machines and equipment proficiently, with minimal supervision. You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in cross-training to further develop your skills.
- Meet production schedules by working closely with supervisors to maintain a steady flow of work, reduce waste, and ensure the highest quality standards.
- Inspect your own work to ensure accuracy before submitting parts for further inspection.
- Set up machines and tooling for each job, making sure all specifications are met for quality, surface finish, and dimensional tolerance.
- Maintain a positive, service-oriented attitude, building strong relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and customers.

Generally, 95% of the normal work shift requires standing, bending, squatting, and climbing while running production, inspecting work and machines and checking procedures.
Job requires moving of material and parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices should be used when possible. Parts must be lifted, pulled, pushed, and held in place, sometimes without benefit of material handling devices due to limited space and confined areas in and around machines.
