McElroy Manufacturing is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our family office in Tulsa, OK. As part of the family office, you will handle tax compliance, financial analysis, fixed asset accounting, audits, and reconciliations across a diverse group of entities. We’re looking for someone with a strong background in tax accounting, excellent Excel and technology skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance & Reporting: Prepare and support the filing of various tax returns, including income tax, sales/use tax, property tax, and other compliance matters across multiple entities.
- Financial Analysis & Reconciliation: Assist with monthly and year-end reconciliations and financial analysis across the family office portfolio, identifying trends and insights to support decision-making.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation, including tax positions and entity-level reporting.
- Technology & Process Improvement: Leverage advanced Excel skills and accounting systems to streamline processes, increase accuracy, and improve reporting workflows.
- Fixed Asset Support: Maintain accurate fixed asset records including identifying, tracking, and recording of fixed assets and related depreciation in accordance with company policies and tax laws.
- Continuous Learning: Stay informed on tax law changes, industry developments, and accounting best practices to support compliance and drive improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA, CMA, or other relevant certification preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in public accounting; experience in a multi-entity or family office environment also a plus
- Proficient in Excel, with strong skills in formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Comfortable with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Experience with financial audits, reconciliations, and tax reporting
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
