Position Overview:
The Director of Operations (DOO) will oversee the daily operations of McElvain Homes, ensuring compliance with the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) rules and regulations. This role requires a leader who is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities through effective management and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operational Leadership: Manage and supervise daily administration operations, ensuring services align with DODD standards and the organization's mission.
· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all DODD administrative rules governing services provided by the agency.
· Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise staff members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and person-centered care. Ensure all personnel training is effectively managed and remains compliant with DODD regulations.
· Financial Oversight: Oversee all financial ledgers for individuals within the care of the agency as required by DODD rules and regulations. Reporting of all residential financial records to Rep Payee’s.
· Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure the highest standards of care. Ensure periodic compliance reviews are completed and ensure ongoing compliance of all operational processes within the organization. Ensure all home records are managed effectively and within all DODD rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
· Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within a developmental disabilities service & agency organization.
· Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with DODD regulations and compliance requirements.
· Communication Skills: Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English to comply with all administrative requirements.
· Training: Completion of DODD-required training for Directors of Operations.
