About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join our growing Transportation and Infrastructure practice. This role serves a multi-consultant office program and will be based in Lower Manhattan, New York. As a part of our Transportation team, the Environmental Manager will oversee all environmental aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with environmental requirements and applicable regulations

Key Responsibilities:
· Oversight of all environmental issues and compliance with all environmental requirements and applicable regulations related to the work.
· Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations pertaining to New York
· Development and implementation of site-specific environmental procedures and plans
· Continual monitoring of the Design- Builder’s adherence to such procedures, plans, regulations and standards
· Implementing corrective action / mitigation measures as necessary to comply with the requirements set forth in the Contract Documents.
· Permitting, industrial hygiene, design, and construction management on large, complex transportation or infrastructure projects
· Removal, generation, storage and disposal of hazardous materials resulting from the Work
· Work closely with engineering teams to ensure coordinated designs.
· Use technical manuals to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable standards for New York.
· Have an understanding of engineering and architectural documentation and construction, including infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· OSHA 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) -OR - 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher training taken within the past 12 months
· Valid New York State Department of Labor Asbestos Inspector Certificate
· AMPP C3 initial – OR- C5 refresher- Lead/Hazardous Coating Removal

· NYSDEC Endorsed 4 Hour Erosion and Sediment Control Contractor Training
· New York State Professional Engineering license (Desired but not required)
Preferred Qualifications:
· A minimum of 2-3 years of experience with Transportation Agencies
· Experience within transportation industry desired.
· Self-directed with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
· Ability to multitask and communicate status and progress effectively.
· Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential documents and information.
· Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong communication, organizational and time management skills. Attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and detail-oriented.
