Carpenter/Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our McFarland Construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks and be comfortable with a range of construction and remodeling projects. This position requires hands-on experience and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards. We work in various areas along the Treasure Coast; Jensen Beach, Port Saint Lucie, Stuart, Fort Pierce, and being able to get to each jobsite on time is required.

Pay will be based on work experience.

Responsibilities

• Show up in a punctual manner to each jobsite.
• Arrive with the necessary tools to complete each job.
• Remove and install windows and doors in a group setting.
• Install Hardie Lap siding.
• Lay various types of flooring.
• Familiarity with various types of framing.
• Provide maintenance person services for general repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Engage in heavy lifting of materials, tools, and equipment as necessary.
• Participate in remodeling projects, transforming spaces according to client specifications.
• Execute trim carpentry work, including baseboards, crown molding, and window casings.
• Install cabinets and assist with various cabinetry projects.
• Painting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in carpentry or related fields is essential.
• Experience in window and door installation is highly preferred.
• Experience with Hardie siding installation and other various siding projects.
• Experience in cabinet installation and trim carpentry is highly desirable.
• Basic knowledge of tile/floor laying techniques is preferred.
• Strong maintenance person skills with a focus on quality workmanship.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
• Experience in remodeling projects
• Attention to detail and commitment to completing tasks on time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
