Job Summary
A Construction Cost Engineer is responsible for managing and analyzing project costs to ensure efficiency, budget adherence, and financial transparency. This role involves preparing cost estimates, monitoring expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and collaborating with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain financial control over construction projects.
Key Responsibilities include :
- Develop and analyze cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and feasibility.
- Monitor and track actual project costs against budgeted amounts, identifying variances and providing recommendations.
- Conduct cost forecasting and risk analysis to anticipate potential financial challenges.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to assess material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Review and evaluate contractor and supplier bids, ensuring competitive pricing and budget alignment.
- Assist in value engineering to optimize costs without compromising quality or safety.
- Maintain comprehensive cost records and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
