Position Description: Inventory & Assembly Technician
Position Summary: The Inventory & Assembly Technician is a critical member of our team responsible for ensuring accuracy in inventory handling and assembling products with a high attention to quality standards. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory
- Make boxes, pull parts and tag for sales orders, record traceability on work orders
- Maintain adequate inventory levels of all assemblies and sub assemblies
- Pull stock for powder coating inventory
- Bring parts downstairs and set up for assembly production
- Restock inventory as parts are made, update traceability
- Ensure inventory is in properly labeled bins
- Keep older parts tagged separately from newer work orders
- Use parts on a first in – first out base
- Keep inventory organized
- Back up for customer service (answering phone calls)
- Assembly
- Assemble sheet metal with rivets and nut plates according to drawing data.
- All assemblies must conform to design data and Airforms quality standards.
- Ensure order fulfilment and deadlines are met.
- Notify purchasing when hardware required for assembly is low.
Experience and Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative team player with effective interpersonal abilities.
- Capable of independently managing small projects.
- Excellent memory retention for information and resourceful problem-solving.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on maintaining quality standards.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, climb ladders, reach overhead, climb stairs multiple times a day and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance
