Job Summary:

  • Responsible for sales of power equipment, focusing on customer service and satisfaction while maintaining existing relationships and fostering new opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

">
  1. Create, develop, and close new/used sales within assigned territory, achieving 100% of established goals and prospecting new customers.
  2. Exceed sales targets by improving current strategies.
  3. Become an expert in products and services offered, staying up-to-date on the latest features and technologies.
  4. Meet with customers to promote new and used products, addressing their specific needs and concerns.
  5. Represent McFarlanes at trade association shows to showcase products and build brand awareness.
  6. Analyze and evaluate the activities and products of our competition to stay ahead in the market.
  7. Communicate technical information, product issues, competitive intelligence, product/support requirements, credit information, and customer concerns to relevant departments, following company procedures.
  8. Inspect trade-in equipment, establish fair values, and identify profitable remarketing opportunities.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  10. Achieve regular attendance and maintain a strong work ethic.

Education, Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong knowledge of power and farm equipment, including its applications and benefits.
  • Proven sales track record demonstrating ability to meet or exceed targets.
  • Prior experience working with equipment financing products and processes is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated individual with ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Ability to persuade customers while providing exceptional service and driving business results.
  • Proficient computer skills, including software applications and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Valid driver's license with insurability.

This role requires frequent talking and hearing, along with driving, standing, walking, sitting, using computers, printers, telephones, calculators, and copiers. Close and distance vision are essential functions of this job.
