Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and passionate Landscape Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of landscape design principles, environmental sustainability, and horticultural knowledge. You will work closely with clients to create beautiful and functional outdoor spaces that reflect their needs and preferences, while also contributing to the aesthetic, environmental, and practical goals of each project.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design Conceptualization & Planning:
o Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, needs, and preferences for their outdoor spaces.
o Develop innovative, aesthetically pleasing, and functional landscape designs using sketches, CAD software, or 3D modeling tools.
o Integrate elements such as plantings, hardscapes (patios, walkways, walls), water features, and lighting into cohesive designs.
o Ensure designs meet client expectations, budget constraints, and environmental considerations.
· Project Coordination:
o Prepare detailed landscape plans, including site plans, elevations, and planting plans.
o Work closely with contractors, suppliers, and production team to ensure proper implementation of designs.
· Client Communication:
o Communicate regularly with clients throughout the design and installation phases, providing updates and addressing concerns.
· Site Analysis & Assessment:
o Conduct site assessments to analyze soil conditions, drainage, climate, and other factors that influence the landscape design.
o Evaluate existing site conditions to understand challenges and opportunities for design improvement.
· Budget Management:
o Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring designs align with the financial expectations of clients.
o Provide cost estimates for materials, labor, and other resources, adjusting as necessary.
· Continual Learning & Design Development:
o Stay current with landscape design trends, new materials, technology, and industry best practices.
o Continuously improve design skills through professional development and attending relevant workshops or seminars.
Qualifications:
· Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, Horticulture, or a related field.
· Experience:
o 2 years of experience in landscape design, with a portfolio that demonstrates creativity, technical skills, and successful project outcomes.
o Experience with CAD software, design tools (such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar), and graphic presentation software.
· Skills & Abilities:
o Strong design skills with an eye for detail, scale, and proportion.
o Excellent knowledge of FL plant species, horticulture, and sustainable landscaping techniques.
o Ability to create compelling and effective presentations for clients.
o Strong written and verbal communication skills.
o Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with teams.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
