Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and compliance of pharmaceutical facilities. This role is integral to ensuring that facilities meet Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and regulatory requirements. Comprehensive training will be provided to prepare you for success in this highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Specialized Cleaning Tasks:
- Clean and sanitize wet labs, dry labs, cleanrooms, and equipment areas according to strict GMP protocols.
- Use appropriate cleaning techniques and specialized tools for sensitive areas.
- Operate cleaning equipment, including vacuums, scrubbers, and other tools safely and effectively.
Adhere to Health, Safety, and Compliance Standards:
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Handle and dispose of hazardous waste in compliance with relevant regulations and site-specific protocols (training provided).
- Maintain cleaning logs and other documentation required by GMP standards and client specifications.
Maintain Inventory and Equipment:
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and maintain equipment in good working condition.
- Keep storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Coordinate with supervisors and pharmaceutical staff to address cleaning needs, priorities, and concerns.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the facility meets cleanliness and compliance standards.
Follow Client-Specific Guidelines:
- Adhere to site-specific security, safety, and access protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all client expectations and regulatory standards.
Work Environment and Safety
- GMP Regulated Environment: This role operates in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facility. Adherence to strict processes, protocols, and documentation standards is mandatory to ensure compliance and safety. (You will be trained on all protocols and standards, and expected to maintain adherence.)
- Chemical Hazards: Cleaning tasks involve the use of regulated cleaning agents and potential exposure to chemicals. Comprehensive training on handling, usage, and disposal will be provided. (You will be trained on all appropriate safety procedures to mitigate hazards.)
Radiological Hazards:
- The facility works with manufacturing materials that are considered a radiological hazard, there are numerous safety measures and trainings in place to make sure that you stay safe.
- Commitment to Safety: Safety is a top priority. You will receive training on all safety protocols, including proper PPE use, hazard management, and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform repetitive tasks, including standing and walking, for extended periods.
Certifications:
- WHMIS certification or willingness to obtain it during onboarding.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week
