Looking for experienced superintendents who are ready to join a growing and dynamic company. Needs to be a self-starter and bring a wealth of construction industry knowledge in the commercial and multi-family sectors. Compensation commensurate with experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:

General Expectations
- Interfaces and develops relationships with owners, architects, engineers, design professionals, and municipalities to ensure design intent is satisfied
- Coordinates, understands, and enforces subcontractor assignments and scopes of work
- Provides leadership on productivity issues and monitors work performance based on project requirements
- Reads and understands project documents (project drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports)
- Has clear knowledge and understanding of challenges working in dynamic environments, especially on multi-family and commercial projects
- Develops site utilization plans based on project-specific conditions
- Expected to thoroughly review and identify issues with project documents and advise on solutions with senior-level management
- Provides leadership alongside Project Managers in managing project costs
- Responsible for maintaining clean site trailers and setting high housekeeping standards across the entire project
- Major contributor to developing McGann field staff and advocates for improving overall company competency
- Physical demands include the ability to navigate construction jobsites and occasionally assist with lifting materials and/or products within reason
- Takes a lead role in project close-out, including commissioning and owner training
Document Control
- Maintains accurate contract documents and demonstrates competency in the following areas:
- Proficient in filing and posting RFIs, Construction Bulletins, and applicable changes to maintain accurate contract drawings throughout the project—not just at the end
- Creates accurate and inclusive daily logs electronically
- Manages and submits McGann labor timecards as required
- Ensures filing of submittals, contracts, and other applicable documents follows company expectations and file structure
- Identifies issues in a timely manner within project documents and follows up with technical writing and proper RFI submissions
- Ensures punch lists are developed, completed, filed, and disseminated per company expectations for all trades, in conjunction with supplementary McGann staff
Safety
- Ensures implementation of the McGann Safety Program for a safe and healthy work environment on site
- Works with the Operations Manager, Safety Director, and other McGann staff to adhere to all applicable OSHA regulations
- Responsible for ensuring accident reports, weekly toolbox talks, and all other applicable forms are completed as directed
- Conducts safety orientations for McGann employees and subcontractors
Submittals
- Responsible for accurate review and approval of all shop drawings and submittals
Technology
- Demonstrates proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe, Bluebeam, and Project
- Willing to continue developing and using technology as a tool for managing project schedules
- Develops, maintains, and disseminates all required schedules, including bi-weekly 3-Week Look-Aheads and monthly Microsoft Project schedules
- Provides and communicates schedules to all pertinent parties as part of bi-weekly or weekly foremen meetings
- Responsible for scheduling all deliveries and inspections
- Expected to provide sufficient advance notice to the Operations Manager for labor requests
- Coordinates all labor, material, and equipment needs in a timely manner in conjunction with the secondary superintendent based on each project
Meetings
- Attends and contributes to pre-construction meetings with the Project Manager and Owners
- Develops and conducts inclusive agendas for weekly or bi-weekly foremen meetings, followed by accurate documentation of meeting minutes and disbursement via email to applicable parties
