Plating Setup Operator
3rd Shift, 10:00PM-6:30AM, Sunday-Thursday
Hourly rate $21.00-28.00/hour DOE 20% Shift Differential

RESPONSIBILITY: Setup, Maintain, and Operating automated plating line to ensure maximum productivity.
JOB DUTIES:
- This position requires an employee to work their regularly scheduled shift; ability to work overtime and weekends.
- Must be aware of and comply with related IATF/ISO procedures, as applicable.
- Must meet qualitative and quantitative standards for the position and department.
- Must be aware that proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory when working in the Plating department.
- Encourage open communication within your department.
- With proper training assist Lab technicians with chemical additions – following all procedures for proper PPE requirements, which include wearing long pants, face shield, proper gloves, and/or respirator.
- Ability to transfer solution to Waste Treat and/or Treatment tanks.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Monitors floor drains under line for proper operation and cleanliness.
- Reviews all valves and tanks for leaks and issues work order to repair.
- Reviews line for cleanliness and assigns cleaning tasks as needed.
- Aware of the importance of keeping chemicals off the floors and from under the line.
- With proper training assist Lab technicians with maintaining process bath filters.
- Ensures line is ready for on time daily startup.
- Be aware that downtime for any reason is expensive and should be minimized as it is not just the hourly cost of the machine but the lost production as well.
- Coordinate orders to be pulled from storage area for the next production run.
- Startup draw ovens; verify temperatures and draw time.
- Assign Utility Person(s) to Auxiliary loaded task as needed to ensure maximum productivity.
- Delegate housekeeping duties and other tasks during down time.
- Knowledge and ability to perform all department plating functions and procedures.
- Demonstrates the ability to properly operate equipment such as plating process filtration, auxiliary filtration, ion exchange equipment, etc. and understands the importance of ensuring all valve positions are in their proper position before running said equipment.
- Operate plating line during the off loading and startup cycles.
- Expedite orders when required.
- Complete department material and supply requisitions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Given proper instruction, ability to operate powered hand truck and draw furnace hoist correctly.
- Given proper instruction and personal protection safety equipment (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This position requires regular use of a respirator. Must pass Respirator Protection and Fit testing.
