McGee Air Services is looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our on-site team at the Seattle-Tacoma (SeaTac) International Airport.

The Hiring Target for this role is $78k - $85k.

The Human Resource Generalist position interfaces with station leadership, safety, training and administrative staff to provide Human Resource support for personnel-related functions at the station level. This role carries out responsibilities in one or more of the following areas: employee relations, performance management, time & attendance accountability, on-the-job injuries, leaves and accommodations and other administrative functions as needed. The position requires the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement when identifying and resolving employee related matters.

This role reports to the Regional Manager, Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate trusted relationships with team members to support a sustainable culture rooted in mutual respect, transparency, and trust
  • Conduct timely, thorough, and objective employee relations investigations. Facilitate resolution discussions and provide clear, factual summaries of findings
  • Communicate investigative outcomes professionally and respectfully to all parties involved
  • Guide and coach station leadership through performance management, including coaching conversations, investigations, and progressive discipline processes
  • Assist with time & attendance accountability efforts by preparing relevant coaching and disciplinary documentation
  • Support the Administrative staff through completion of job injury reporting to ensure accurate and timely completion of required documentation, leave communication, tracking and recording status and progress, station file maintenance, and administration of a modified duty program
  • Maintain physical and digital station personnel and medical files within local, state and federal retention guidelines
  • Apply a working knowledge of the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) to address labor-related matters, ensuring consistency and compliance with union protocols
  • Serves as regional support to grievance processes, supporting healthy labor-management relations
  • Communicate and implement new or revised policies and procedures, supporting change management efforts across the station
  • Effectively supports change management initiatives by communicating new, changing, and existing policies and procedures while enforcing and ensuring understanding and compliance
  • Supports station-level team member engagement initiatives, organizing activities that enhance workplace culture and recognition
  • Assist with talent acquisition support including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and new hire events, as needed
  • Track, analyze, and report on key HR metrics (e.g. turnover, employee relations, attendance reliability) to inform decision-making
  • Ensure confidentiality of team member information and secure handling of sensitive HR data
  • Act as a liaison between station leadership and team members, promoting open dialogue and formal resolution of concerns
  • Recommend and implement tools and resources to enhance local HR support and leadership effectiveness
  • Identify and address opportunities to improve workplace culture, morale, and retention
  • Lead or participate in HR initiatives to streamline processes through research, data analysis and process improvement recommendations

  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in human resources, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience required
  • 4 years of Human Resources experience specializing in Employee Relations and/or Labor Relations or equivalent required
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies, and procedures, including collective bargaining provisions required
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to think and write analytically required
  • Strong organization and time management skills, and ability to maintain thorough and accurate records while meeting tight deadlines
  • Ability to effectively problem-solve and determine win-win solutions.
  • Positive, team-oriented and adaptable to a dynamic environment with flexibility to assist with special projects during high demand and based on operational needs
  • Flexibility to support travel (up to approximately 10%) required
  • Flexibility to periodically work alternate shifts if needed to support 24/7 operations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance as required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S

Requirements

  • Ability to travel (approximately 10% of time)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Experience

  • Aviation, Transportation, or related high volume industry experience strongly preferred
  • Human Resource Professional Certification (aPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP) strongly preferred
  • Union Experience, Labor Relations Skills preferred
  • This role is an on-site role and requires daily presence at the Seattle-Tacoma (SeaTac) International Airport.

HIRING SALARY TARGET: $78,000 - $85,000

FULL SALARY RANGE: $77,968.80 - $94,516.00

SALARY DETAILS: The pay range and total target compensation package is the expected pay offered for this position at the start of employment. Pay will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to location, relevant experience level, and skillset while balancing internal equity to other McGee employees.
