What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at McGeorge Contracting?
BASIC FUNCTION
Manage special projects for the Organization. Act as a liaison between the divisions and management for these projects. Also attend Industry Meetings and other activities as assigned.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
· Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
· Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
· Delegate tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them.
· Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected.
· Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs for the project change.
· Must have good communication, time management and leadership skills.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor's degree in an applicable field.
· Five (5) years' project management experience or equivalent preferred.
· Excellent computer skills required. Expert level skills in MS Excel and Access strongly preferred.
