Program Details
This is an exciting opportunity to join McGill and Partners as part of our US Intern Program. The Program is designed to help you gain practical work experience and core skills that will enable you to build the skills required in your career within the insurance industry. You will have an opportunity to join a dynamic, collaborative team as well as learn from some of the most experienced (re)insurance professionals in the market.
You will become fully immersed in our Treaty Reinsurance broking team in Minneapolis, MN, and you will also have access to our employee networks, social clubs and get exposure to client work that will help you to develop new connections.

- 3-month program, with potential to extend duration
- Part-time role
- Support from line manager and senior brokers
- On the job learning and training which will contribute to your learning and development
- You will work closely with colleagues across all of our locations
- You will support your team with most of their day-to-day activity to ensure milestones are met
- You will have responsibilities for collecting, tracking, and analyzing data and providing your team with support wherever required

- Communication skills: You will have good communication skills and enjoy meeting and working with new people
- Client service: You will have a genuine interest in delivering for our clients with efficiency and professionalism.
- IT literacy: You will need to be comfortable with common software (including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel), and have the desire to build your capability in these areas.
- Character: You want to work in a supportive environment where integrity, collaboration and dependability is expected.
Required:
- Enrolled in a 2- or 4-year accredited college/university
- Ability to commute to our Minneapolis office 3 days per week
- Right to work in the US
- Experience with Microsoft 365 a plus
