INSURANCE RISK ANALYST

The Insurance Risk Analyst is responsible for the coordination, oversight and placement of project specific insurance policies and assistance with subcontractor prequalification risk reviews. Works closely with operations/project administration and external partners for project specific placements and the subcontractor prequalification and operations/project administrative teams and subcontractors for subcontractor prequalification risk review.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 2 or more years of industry experience in insurance or risk management or similar experience.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience with Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) and Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP)
  • Four-year degree in Business or related degree

Office and Travel:

Primarily works in corporate office out of Roseville/Dallas. May be minimal travel between office locations and to insurance/risk related conferences.

Note: 5% of travel time with additional opportunities for travel if interested. Eligible for fully remote or hybrid position.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Project Specific Insurance Policies (60% of time)

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure proper placement and coordination of any project specific insurance policies (e.g. CCIP, Pollution Liability, Subcontractor Default Insurance, etc.).
  • Review and analyze terms and conditions associated with project specific policies and assist in approval to bind.
  • Daily oversight and management of master Builders Risk program including enrollment of projects into program and education to internal teams on enrollment process.
  • Daily oversight and management of subcontractor default insurance (SDI) program including enrollment of projects into program and education to internal teams on enrollment process.

Subcontractor Prequalification (15% of time)

  • Assist in management of subcontractor prequalification process, including risk review of subcontractor applications.
  • Assist in process updates and improvements as necessary.
  • Provide education on the subcontractor prequalification risk review process to project teams as necessary.

Risk Management (20% of time)

  • Assist with analysis of data and trends to identify potential risks.
  • Contribute to the risk mitigation plans to reduce the severity of identified risks.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends in construction insurance industry, including thorough working knowledge of project specific insurance products, coverage and pricing.
  • Assist Risk Manager with presentations and sessions focused on project specific insurance policies and subcontractor prequalification risk reviews.

Other Duties as assigned (5% of time)

  • Participate as an active member of the Risk & Legal Teams. Contribute to shared goals and collaborate with colleagues on achievement of priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors and other stakeholders to align risk management efforts. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position involves sitting for extended periods of time at employee's work station. Employee needs to be able to lift up to 20 pounds as frequently as needed to move objects; dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse; ability to hear and speak clearly; and ability to distinguish between colors on graphs and charts.

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $71,000 to $95,000, excluding fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you join McGough, your final base salary will be determined by several factors, including geography, location, skills, education, and experience. Furthermore, we place significant value on pay equity among our current team members as part of any final job offer.

Please note that the range provided above reflects the hiring range for this role. Hiring near the top end of this range would be atypical, as we aim to allow room for future salary growth. Additionally, McGough offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. This includes insurance coverage for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability.
