Summary:
The Renewal Broker’s primary responsibility is to manage the renewal process for existing insurance policies. They will work closely with clients, insurance carriers, and underwriters to ensure a smooth renewal process while maximizing retention rates and maintaining client satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Other duties, projects, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned. Production position that provides support to underwriters and brokers.
- Issue binders and misc. forms.
- Prepare statement of values and loss analysis.
- Invoicing.
- General correspondence with brokers and carriers including but not limited to ordering loss runs and requesting renewal information.
- Pending follow up on specific account issues.
- Insurance policy issuance and endorsement issuance for binding authority companies.
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with brokers to add to a profitable book of business.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with the carriers.
- Recognize and create cross sell opportunities for other products.
- Ability to travel to broker, carrier, and employer meetings.
- Maintain PA Producer and PA Surplus Lines licenses.
- Other duties, projects, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- 1 year commercial Insurance experience (Preferred).
- P&C License (Preferred).
