What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at McGrath's Burger Shack?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders and prepare a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Ensure accurate cash handling and process payments using a cash register or POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines when handling food and beverages
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns
- Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service of alcoholic beverages
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders for customers
- Prepare garnishes, such as fruit slices or cocktail umbrellas, for drinks
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of retail math, including calculating prices, discounts, and sales tax
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating drink recipes
- Familiarity with brewing techniques and knowledge of different types of beer
- Experience in banquet or event settings is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele
- Cashiering experience is beneficial for handling payments and providing receipts
- Hospitality mindset with a focus on creating a positive experience for customers
