Full Time Teacher Position:
- Must be available to work Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:30 (OPS holidays and summer time)
- Must be availabel to work Monday-Friday, 2:00-5:30
- Pay is hourly and based on work experience. 40 Hours Per week during OPS holiday times.
Requirements:
- 18 Years or older
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass a background check
- Willing to obtain Basic Health and Safety trainings as per Licensing Regulations
- Knowledgeable of the social, emotional, and creative needs of children
- Execute daily health and safety procedures in accordance with the Department of Health and Louisiana State Licensing Regulations
- Appropriately supervise children to keep them safe at all times
- Assist children with activities of daily life (e.g., diapering, feeding, dressing)
- Able to communicate with parents and colleges effectively and professionally
- Dependable transportation
- Valid Drivers License
Summary
As a Child Care Teacher, you will be responsible for nurturing and educating young children in a safe and engaging environment. Reporting to the Child Care Director, you will utilize your core skills in early childhood education, toddler care, and classroom management to create developmentally appropriate lesson plans. With a focus on fostering childhood development, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our students and supporting their growth in a daycare setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote early childhood development.
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime and learning activities, fostering social skills and teamwork.
- Maintain effective classroom management and behavior management strategies to create a positive learning atmosphere.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with health and LDOE Licensing regulations.
