Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Kitchen and Bath / Cabinetry Designer to join our design-build team. In this role, you will guide clients through the design process, creating stunning and functional spaces that reflect their vision. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, experienced in kitchen and bath remodeling, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Collaboration
- Conduct consultations to understand client needs and project goals.
- Present design concepts, materials, and finishes in a professional and engaging manner.
- Build rapport and set realistic expectations through effective communication.
Design Development
- Create detailed designs using Chief Architect software, including floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings.
- Specify cabinetry, fixtures, finishes, and materials tailored to project scope.
- Manage cabinetry designs, dimensioned installation drawing sets, product ordering, and follow-up.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with the design-build team to ensure designs align with construction capabilities and timelines.
- Partner with vendors and suppliers to source high-quality products within budget parameters.
- Oversee project execution to ensure high standards and attention to detail.
- Propose, specify, and order all products and materials related to kitchen and bath remodels, including cabinetry, countertops, hardware, plumbing fixtures, tile, and accessories.
Sales and Business Development
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster referrals and repeat business.
- Stay informed on industry trends, product innovations, and design best practices.
- Maintain a strong team-player mentality, collaborating with design professionals, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, team members, and clients.
Qualifications:
- Experience managing clients through the design process to project completion.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
- 2 years of residential design experience.
- Experience with Chief Architect and/or BuilderTrend software is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of cabinetry design, space planning, and remodeling processes.
- Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
