What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary School Administrative Assistant position at McGuire Elementary School?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Assists with all functions of the main office.
2.Assists with daily teacher coverage.
3.Greets and directs visitors.
4.Receives and routes incoming calls and records messages.
5.Maintains student and staff information (addresses, emails, etc.), student biographical attendance records and discipline in the
designated information system(s).
6.Maintains cumulative student records, staff and visitor logs, files, documents, inventory and office supplies (physical files and via
online database).
7.Types letters, forms, documents and reports as necessary (via Microsoft Office and Google Suite).
8.Composes emails, schedules meetings/appointments and manages calendars in Skyward and Google.
9.Operates word processors, computers, calculators, copiers and other office machines.
10.Sorts, distributes and classifies mail, documents and other materials.
11.Post notices.
12.Registers students.
13.Prepares report cards.
14.Completes purchase orders.
15.Performs other usual office routines.
16.Works collaboratively, positively and in a professional manner with all colleagues and the public.
17.Maintains high standards of confidentiality, attendance and flexibility.
18.Assumes other generally related responsibilities as may be assigned by the Principal and/or designee.
