Job Description

McGuireWoods is currently accepting applications from 1Ls for our 2025 summer associate program. We are excited to host 1L summer associates in the following firm offices:

• Baltimore, Maryland
• Houston, Texas
• Jacksonville, Florida
• Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Please limit your application to one McGuireWoods office. Applications must be received by January 17, 2025, at 5:00 pm Eastern Time.

Our 1L summer associate positions will each provide a unique opportunity for a 1L law student to work side by side with both McGuireWoods attorneys and the legal department of a corporate partner organization during a 10-week paid internship in the summer of 2025. The 1L summer associate will spend 8 weeks in one of the McGuireWoods offices listed above and the remaining time in the legal department of the partner organization.

Applicants will be considered based on their academic credentials, leadership experience, demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, success in overcoming significant adversity in their path to law school, and other personal achievements. Please note your materials may be shared with our corporate partners during the hiring process.

Job Requirements

• Candidates must be enrolled in and in good standing at an ABA accredited law school with an anticipated graduation date of 2027 at the time of application.
