McHale Landscape Design is searching for the next great Fleet Technician (Level III) to join our Operations department! We are seeking an experienced and qualified fleet maintenance technician to join our team. We are one of the most respected residential landscape design-build companies in the Washington, DC region. Since 1981, the firm has designed, constructed, and planted residential projects throughout D.C., Maryland and Virginia, including more than 300 award-winning landscapes.
What a Fleet Technician III does :
- Repair heavy-duty diesel trucks and tractor-trailers, trailers, heavy equipment, diesel and gas light/medium-duty trucks, pickup trucks, vans, and cars.
- Assist with repairing small equipment, including mowers, string trimmers, blowers, etc.
- Thorough and accurate diagnostic skill (electrical/mechanical)
- Perform PM services and DOT inspections
- Provide accurate repair order documentation
- On the Road Technician (including after hours, as needed
You will be a great fit if you have:
- Minimum 5 years experience as auto/heavy duty diesel and small engine mechanic or equivalent combination of completed technical training and experience will be considered
- Thorough and accurate diagnostic skills (electrical/mechanical)
- Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Must be able to get DOT Medical Certification
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus, not required
- Able to work Monday-Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm, or as advised by supervisor
- Must be available to work during all-weather event
- Proven ability to successfully work in a fast-paced environment
- Superior time management, organizational, and communication skills
