Key Responsibilities
- Casework and Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of family circumstances and develop comprehensive case plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
- Service Coordination: Coordinate with various agencies and service providers to deliver a range of services, including home visits, case management, and crisis intervention.
- Community Partnerships: Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders to access resources and services that support families.
- Court Representation: Represent the agency in court and testify to the progress of cases, ensuring the best interests of the child are represented.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a human behavioral science, such as Social Work or a related discipline, with one to three years' experience in a social services agency.
- Knowledge and Skills: Principles and practices of social work, including the NASW Code of Ethics; Michigan Department of Health and Human Services policies and procedures; effective communication and interpersonal skills; and ability to maintain confidentiality.
