What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Coordinator position at MCHS Family of Services?
- Arrange and partner with health professionals regarding health and safety standards for unaccompanied children in the LTFC program.
- Follow disease reporting requirements in accordance with ORR standards.
- Monitor and coordinate medical appointments and immunizations for unaccompanied children.
- Have a knowledge of community health and mental health resources.
- Coordinates medical services with medical care providers and insurance provider.
- All other duties as assigned by the program Director.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
- Possession of an active Registered Nurse license without disciplinary infractions by the applicable State Board of Nursing
- Certification to provide training, oversight and monitoring for Medication Administration Certification by direct care personnel, as per applicable State regulatory within the first six (6) months of hire.
- Two (2) years of nursing experience preferably in a pediatric or group home setting
- Basic computer skills
