What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician position at McHugh Pharmacy Group?
Looking for an experienced, hard-working Certified Pharmacy Technician.
We're a family-owned and operated chain of independent pharmacies. This position requires working at our North Carolina store, Stedman Drug Center.
Must have 3 years of proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician working in a pharmacy setting.
The position will include the following:
- Read and interpret physician's medication orders
- Aid in filling, processing, and dispensing medications
- Re-package and label medications
- Adhere to safety practices in order to ensure quality care for patients
- Help maintain the drug inventory through inventory control practices
- Provide customer service by answering phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner
- Triage requests and prioritize them
- Check for expiration dates on medications on a regular basis
The successful candidate will possess exceptional customer service and teamwork skills. The ability to be flexible and able to learn new procedures and skills is a must. Previous experience with PioneerRx (pharmacy management software) is a plus.
