Job Title: Warehouse Delivery Driver
Location: Charlotte NC
Compensation: Hourly; $18-20/hr with opportunities for Overtime.
MCI seeks a dedicated and passionate Warehouse Delivery Driver to work as part of the warehouse operations team, delivering material, equipment, and supplies from one location to another, usually to job sites or other company warehouses. This position reports to the Fabrication Manager and is located in Charlotte NC.
No CDL is required, however, MUST be able to drive a manual transmission.

Essential Job Duties
- The Warehouse Delivery Driver will be responsible for operating a Company vehicle to deliver materials to construction job sites.
- The Warehouse Delivery Driver will also be required to manually load and unload the delivery truck, and verify that all parts are loaded and unloaded.
- Operates a box truck, flatbed truck, and/or pickup truck; must have experience driving a manual transmission.
- Drives a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner.
- Maintains cleanliness of vehicles.
- This job involves loading and unloading company delivery trucks, setting up equipment, and tracking some necessary paperwork.
- Works in such a manner as to prevent shortages and damage to products.
- Complies with established Company policies and procedures.
- Assumes other duties as assigned. Provide assistance with the fabrication shop when needed.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, as well as an office environment.
Qualifications
- The Delivery Driver must have six months of driving and warehouse experience with an excellent driving record.
- Previous experience navigating construction job sites is strongly preferred.
- Possess a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and comprehensive background check.
- Must be able to handle large trucks with auto AND manual transmissions.
- Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations when/as required.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with the Company's warehouse and delivery methods, techniques, and procedures.
- Possess the ability to perform basic math calculations, interpret road maps, effectively communicate with customers/peers/supervisors, and proficiently use a smartphone and/or tablet.
- Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments.
- Requires sitting for relatively long periods of time, while driving.
- Should not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights.
- Should be able to tolerate high and low-temperature levels and occasional inclement driving conditions.
- Physical requirements include exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds of force frequently during daily activities.
