Job Description
We are seeking an Associate General Counsel to join our team at MCI Military Recruitment. As a member of our legal team, you will be responsible for providing legal support to our General Counsel, drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts, and advising on contracts and other transactional agreements. The ideal candidate will have a wide range of experience and proficiencies, including mergers/acquisitions, contracting and negotiations, consumer law, IP law, telecommunications law, insurance, regulatory adherence, and data privacy laws.
Responsibilities
* Provide legal support to the General Counsel
* Draft, review, and revise contracts and advise on contracts and other transactional agreements
* Give accurate and timely counsel to internal business units and executives on a variety of legal topics
* Conduct legal research on a wide range of topics
* Monitor applicable state and federal laws, decisional laws from other jurisdictions, and industry publications
Requirements
* Juris Doctorate and membership in at least one U.S. State bar is required
* At least 2 full years of experience practicing law, with some portion of that experience encompassing most of the areas of law stated herein
* Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines
* Proficient legal research and drafting skills, and use of Westlaw and PACER
* Strong analytical skills/attention to detail
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
* Clear, concise and practical communication skills (both oral and written)
