McIntosh Box and Pallet is hiring for a 1st Forklift Operator in Mineral VA!
We are looking for an technically skilled and experienced individual and excellent attention to detail skills to join our team in Mineral, VA as a Forklift Operator outside .
Hours : Monday to Thursday 6am to 3 : 30pm and Friday 6am to 10am
Pay : $16 per hour
A Forklift Operator will be responsible for moving material by operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. This individual will be responsible, hardworking, and be a team player!
Forklift Operator's job Responsibilities :
- Load and unload trailers and place materials in proper locations
- Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
- Transport materials to different locations within the facility
- Secure loads to machine before transportation
- Inspect for damages to vehicles
- Operate and manage technical equipment
- Adhere to production schedules
- Exchange propane tanks on the back of the lift when it is out of gasoline
- Restack lumber when piles are knocked over or need adjustments
- Assist team members in the yard and on the floor as needed
- Adhere to safety management standards and identify workplace hazards
- Comply with company policies and safety guidelines to maintain and safe and orderly environment
