As the hiring partner for NH's leading hardscape/landscape maintenance supplier and outdoor living products stores we are now welcoming resumes for the position of a Counter Sales Associate/Yard Assistant for their Portsmouth area store.
You will be a critical member of their team, serving as the face of the business both in the store and in the yard. This dual-role requires providing customer service, handling financial transactions, and assisting customers with product inquiries, as well as assisting customers loading product with use of forklift or front loading tractor.
Job Responsibilities:
Customer Service / Stock Yard Assistance
- Greet customers and provide fast, friendly service.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, both in-store and in the yard.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions; balance cash drawer.
- Process returns, exchanges, and sales transactions.
- Regularly perform sales follow up to existing customers.
- Provide information on products and assist customers with loading products into their vehicles.
- Assist with keeping stock yard organized and ensure pricing is accurate
Work Environment:
- Work is performed onsite at a company store, warehouse, and outdoor supply yard.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Knowledge of hardscape and landscaping products very helpful.
- Basic math skills and the ability to calculate measurements for design estimates.
- Basic understanding of sales principles, customer service practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Part-time positions available with rotating Saturdays.
