REPORTS TO: Site Director
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree, Secondary Georgia Teaching Certificate. Access to a personal computer and reliable internet. Access to a personal computer and reliable internet
DUTIES:
- Coordinate the TEAM (student mentor) program.
- Recruit, train, and assign mentors to each full-time Coastal Plains student.
- Make mentor reassignments when mentor/mentee relationships are not working.
- Monitor site program budget and time spent by mentors with each student.
- Send weekly emails to mentors with information they need to discuss with their mentees.
- Meet with mentors each week to discuss: student contacts, parent contacts, monthly LAP (Life Action Plan) calendars, and student referrals.
- Advise mentors as needed (i.e., contact suggestions, available resources, confidentiality with students).
- Provide information for Wellness Report as needed. Communicate LAP/Mentor FileMaker Pro needs to the Head Registrar.
- Make home visits with social worker on non-attenders and pending list students.
- Communicate program progress with Site Directors on a regular basis.
- Attend monthly Student Services meetings.
- Conduct biannual student and mentor surveys.
- Attend system TEAM coordinator meetings as scheduled.
- Submit yearly mentor progress report at the end of May
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Directors.
Salary : $42
