Position Summary:
The Inventory Specialist will work with the Inventory Manager to handle, organize and store all incoming and stock items within the inventory cage. They will also be responsible for distributing items throughout the facility during the manufacturing process. Responsibilities:
- Unload, verify, receive and store all incoming materials to be used in the manufacturing process. Any discrepancies (incorrect counts, quality issues or incorrect parts) must be noted, and Inventory Manager made aware.
- Prepare and distribute items to be used in the manufacturing process based on Pick Lists determined by Inventory Manager.
- Maintain items in a neat and orderly manner in the inventory cage.
- Perform cycle counts based on schedule determined by Inventory Manager.
- Such other duties assigned when necessary.
Required Skills and abilities:
- Excellent attitude and record of safe behavior in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- History of working with a team to accomplish organizational and department goals.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Able to navigate Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Experience operating a forklift and handling material.
- Experience with Lean processes is preferred.
- Experience with inventory management software.
Physical requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing on production floor and working in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
