Job Summary
The Quality Control Inspector will be a frontline position within the Quality Assurance Department specifically working in the Fabrication, Welding, and Wire Departments.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Communicate project details and specifications to appropriate manufacturing personnel.
- Assist in first-piece quality verifications on projects within targeted departments.
- Performing random quality checks of items being manufactured and alerting appropriate staff to any errors or inconsistencies.
- Work with Quality Assurance Manager and Department Supervisors to improve the QA process.
- Verify that all QA processes are being followed by the manufacturing team and offer correction and training when appropriate.
- Understand the specific job requirements for each project being manufactured in the targeted departments. Work with Project Managers, Department Supervisors, & QA Managers to fully grasp project details. This includes understanding BOMs, finished assemblies, packaging requirements, and any shipping/delivery expectations. When necessary be willing to communicate any important information or corrections to the appropriate team members.
- Work with the Manufacturing team to incorporate Lean fundamentals into the manufacturing process.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to read a tape measure, calipers, angle finders, etc.
- Must be able to read and interpret engineered drawings.
- Must be comfortable incorporating technology into day-to-day responsibilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- History of working with a team to accomplish organizational and departmental goals.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Able to navigate Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:
Experience with manufacturing-specific Quality Assurance is required.
Experience working with LEAN is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing on the production floor and working in a manufacturing environment.
Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
First shift – M-T 6:00 – 4:30 OT as needed
Pay ranger $18.00 - $21.00
Compensation and Benefits commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
