What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Manager Continuous Improvement position at MCK McKesson Corporation?
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Sr. Manager of Continuous Improvement plays a critical role in overseeing the development and execution of all continuous improvement programs and initiatives in the Dx network as well as across CDx. The position will play a central role in initiating, planning, driving execution and presenting progress, risks, and results to the operations leadership teams and key stakeholders
The Sr. Manager of Continuous Improvement will also need to foster and develop effective relationships with other BU segments and functions, such as Six Sigma, SDx, Engineering, and IT as well as other key stakeholders to identify, define, prioritize and execute initiatives.
They will also lead a team of Continuous Improvement Engineers and / or Specialists in Continuous improvement activities. Position must reside in close proximity to a Pharma distribution center.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities across the Dx network. Typical improvement activity results in improved productivity, safety, cost control, and quality
- Establishes collaborative partnerships with other members of the CDx and Dx leadership team to better understand their needs and future requirements, ranging from standardization of processes, leveraging best practices, to optimization of DC flow. Collaboration will also be imperative across the Engineering and Six Sigma teams.
- Influence all levels of management across the organization to ensure that continuous improvement activities receive the necessary support and are resourced adequately to ensure the proper and timely implementation of solutions
- Ability to engage a cross-functional team towards a desired outcome
- Superior communication skills to effectively engage and promote collaboration
- Lead, coach, and develop other Continuous Improvement team members. Ensures team members receive proper training and guidance to help achieve business goals and objectives
- Responsible for establishing and measuring robust KPI’s tied to overall organizational operations improvement goals and ensuring standardization across the network
- Ensure that continuous improvement principles are adopted and incorporated into the organization’s strategic plan and goals
Position Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree required
PMP certification is a plus
Schedule
Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with flexibility
