McKay Creek Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assisted Living Caregiver to join our team. The caregiver will provide personalized care and support to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for senior care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary monitoring as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents.
- Help residents with mobility, including transferring from beds to wheelchairs.
- Monitor residents’ physical and mental health and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Support residents with toileting and personal hygiene needs.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and room tidying.
- Follow all facility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or assisted living (preferred but not required).
- Ability to lift, move, and support residents as needed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic understanding of elderly care and safety procedures.
