Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, including straight trucks and manual transmission vehicles.
- Load and unload packages and products, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure operational safety.
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organization.
Skills
- Valid professional Class "C" drivers license is required.
- Experience in route driving with a proven track record of timely deliveries.
- Proficient in driving various types of vehicles, including straight trucks and those with manual transmission.
- Ability to load and unload goods efficiently, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
