McKay Seed Company Facility Manager

Job Description

65% Onsite Location Manager

Day to Day Logistics for McKay Seed Rosalia

  • Determine logistics of cleaning and delivery of products to be cleaned
  • Manage Personnel for operation of facility including hiring and firing of employees with direction of CEO / CFO
  • Manage harvest logistics for special crops and seed

Oversee improvements and maintenance of facility

  • Maintain a continuing improvement of equipment

    • Assist mill manager during seed season with operations

    25% Offsite Facilities

  • Maintain clean offsite locations
  • Schedule annual maintenance
  • Manage individual location employees

    • 10% Annual Planning

  • Participate with CFO / CEO in annual planning

    • This position would be a full time position located in Rosalia, WA. Salary would depend upon experience. Benefits provided would be Health Insurance, 401K with a 3% MSC match and profit sharing, vehicle, cell phone and computer. Please contact us for a complete list

    Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Thorough competency in basic computing skills
  • Basic equipment operation and knowledge of farming / crop production
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills

    • Working Conditions / Physical Demands

    A candidate filling this position will be required to :

  • Perform work in all necessary weather conditions.
  • Travel as necessary.
  • Work with chemicals and other potentially irritating substances
  • Wear personal protective gear, when required.
  • Work in hot, cold, dusty, windy, and wet conditions at times.
  • Stand and / or walk for long periods of time.
  • Lift fifty (50) pounds on a regular basis.
