Description
The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. This position involves verifying invoices, processing payments, reconciling vendor statements and maintaining accurate records of accounts payable activity.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accounts Payable entry to include invoices, PO/WOs, HOA and hand checks
- Prepare weekly AP Cash Requirements report
- Process and Record payment activity and distribute remittance information
- Manage Invoice Approvals
- Setup and Maintenance of Trade Partner records to include insurance compliance
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Research and answer vendor inquiries and Manage Invoice Email Inbox
- Manage Utility Bill Tracking and verify utility disconnects for closed homes
- Record Expense Card Transactions
- Record customer deposits received
- Deposit and Record checks received at the office
- Manage Property Tax Payments & Tax Exemptions
- Maintain Filing System
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist senior level accountants in the month end close process
- Assist with accounting projects as assigned

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

No travel is expected for this position.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED
Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred or 2 years of accounts payable experience
Home-building industry experience preferred, but not required
