Night Crew Clerk Overview
Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for stocking and facing grocery products, unloading trucks and ensuring that the aisles of the store are kept neat and clean. Responsible for meeting customer needs through providing well stocked and accurately priced merchandise to promote an optimal opportunity for sales.

Responsibilities:

• Consistently provide fast, friendly and efficient customer service at all times.
• Smile, make eye contact and thank customers upon fulfilling their requests.
• Work in a safe manner and maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation at all times, according to company standards.
• Project oneself in a professional manner in accordance with our dress code.
• Perform merchandising functions for the Grocery Department, including stocking product, facing product, ordering and maintaining inventory.
• Return excess merchandise to the back room or overhead storage space in accordance with company standards and procedures.
• Unload merchandise from trucks.
• Break down cardboard boxes and bail them.
• Follow all company standards regarding sanitation (e.g., floors, shelves and back room).
• Process customer orders as business needs dictate.
• Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot and return them to designated areas.
• Maintain controls and security in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Communicate new policies or promotional programs to customers.
• Know the store layout and assist customers in finding items.
• Control shrinkage through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the Night Crew Leader and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be reliable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to read and write at the 8th grade level.
• Ability to match up numbers for accurate stocking.

Physical Requirements:

• Occasional repetitive motion of hand, wrist, arm and shoulder.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching and climbing.
• Frequently carry and lift from floor to the waist of up to 50 pounds.
• Constantly carry weight of up to 12 pounds.
• Occasionally push and pull up to 70 pounds.
• Constantly grip up to 15 pounds.
• Occasional exposure to cool temperatures.
• Ability to work in a store environment.

Compensation:$15.00/hour
