What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Associate position at McKelvy & Kim Search?
Dynamic opportunity available for a litigation associate to join a high-stakes, highly reputable litigation focused law firm in Los Angeles.
You must have an active California bar license and at least three (3) years of complex litigation experience in practice, ideally in both state and federal court, to be qualified for consideration. Solid academic credentials are highly preferred, in addition to a solid foundation in litigation skills, including legal research, legal drafting, arguing motions, making court appearances, propounding and responding to discovery, trial preparation and taking/defending depositions. The firm focuses on highly complex commercial litigation matters, both substantively and procedurally.
You must have a passion for practice and feel a strong conviction for pursuing excellence in your legal skills and professional development. The desire to work collaboratively and independently with a self-starter work ethic is essential for success in this role.
Salary will depend on experience, and the salary is currently budgeted for $150,000 to $200,000. Competitive benefits available, in addition to the opportunity to earn discretionary bonus compensation. A higher base salary will be considered for highly qualified and more experienced applicants.
