Position Summary and Key Responsibilities
The qualified candidate will be an energetic, organized, dedicated leader to teach Sport Psychology, Health, Psychology of Coaching and Motor Development within the programs. This is a full-time position and is eligible for a competitive compensation and benefits package. The responsibilities of this position include teaching 15 hours of course work per Fall and Spring semester. Preferred qualifications include experience teaching sports psychology, supervising sports psychology practicums and advising students at the college level. Administrative responsibilities including participation in division and full faculty meetings are required. Participation in other service activities of the division, school and university are optional. There are no research requirements for this position.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in health or physical education related field- Three to five (3-5) years of full-time professional experience
- Evidence of successful college teaching experience in Physical Education, Health or Exercise Science
- Understanding of certification and licensure standards for physical education in State of Illinois
Doctoral degree in health or physical education related field- Sports Psychology Experience and Certification
- Evidence of participation in professional organizations
- Experience with Sports Psychology Practicum Requirements and Supervision
