JOB
The Landfill Equipment/Scale Operator performs any combination of duties to manage municipal solid waste materials at the Landfill Site including (not limited to) pushing waste, hauling dirt or wood for cover operations. This position also operates the scale, answers calls, screens inbound loads for hazardous or prohibited waste, and directs traffic to different areas of the site. This position reports to the Solid Waste Director and is located in Arnegard, ND. The schedule is 4 days on, 3 days off; 7:00AM – 5:30PM.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Safely operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, compactors, skid steers, dump trucks, water trucks, spray trucks and others as neededEnsure facility cleanliness is maintained, including picking up windblown litter, cleaning the office/shops and equipmentPerform routine maintenance including, but not limited to, greasing equipment, oil changes, minor repairs, etc.Maintain daily reportsMaintain facility cleanliness and collecting windblown litterOther duties as assigned for business needs
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Class B CDL with air bag endorsement Welding or fabrication skills
