McKenzie Electric Cooperative (MEC) is currently seeking qualified candidates for Members Services Coordinator. The selected candidate for this full-time, benefited position will be responsible for managing member and public relations, communications, and marketing efforts for McKenzie Electric Cooperative, including fostering community relationships, promoting services, and creating materials to support the Cooperative's mission and programs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Promoting the Cooperative's mission.
- Fostering relationships with community organizations.
- Assists in public relations programs.
- Coordinates events.
- Creating communications to keep members informed.
- Manages the communications budget.
- Assisting with various member services and training programs.
Additional duties include assisting with billing, responding to member inquiries, and contributing to special projects.

Key Competencies include problem-solving, customer service, effective communication, and adaptability. The ideal candidate will have strong writing, editing, and media skills, as well as experience with desktop publishing, marketing, and customer relations.
Education/Experience: A bachelor's degree in journalism, mass communications, or a related field is preferred, along with at least four years of relevant experience.
Certifications/Licenses: A valid ND driver's license.
Physical demands include regular use of hands, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and the ability to perform tasks that may require standing, walking, or sitting.
Location: This position is not eligible for remote or hybrid work and requires employees to work in the office.
