Oversees the work of a team of Pharmacy Technicians responsible for making and delivering medication. Helps maintain inventory levels, trains new staff, and upholds quality standards under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager head of a unit / department. High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited pharmacy technician program. 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
