About the Position:
At McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a key member of the operating room staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Preparation and setup of the operating room, including the sterile field, equipment, supplies, and solutions.
- Passing of instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon during surgery.
- Management of the sterile field and specimens during procedures.
- Performance of sponge and supply counts to prevent foreign retained objects.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a CAAHEP-accredited program or other programmatically-accredited surgical technology program.
- National Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) examination administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
Schedule and Availability:
- Monday through Friday 0600-1430 hours.
- Occasional call required.
