Position Description
We are seeking a EDI Support Specialist to provide advanced tier 2 support for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and B2B connectivity issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling escalated technical support tickets from customers, suppliers, third-party vendors, and internal McKesson departments. This role involves close collaboration with developers, Tier 1 support, and strategic planning for complex issue resolution. The specialist will also be responsible for mentoring other support personnel, creating training materials, and contributing to the team knowledge base.
Minimum Requirements:
5 years of experience in EDI trading partner management, including transaction setup and support.
Additional Knowledge/Skills:
Experience in certificate updates and management.
In-depth understanding of EDI transaction sets, their function, structure, and application (e.g., 850, 855, 832, 810, and 856)
Ability to quickly learn and have knowledge of multiple Connectivity Integration paths, including EDI, HL7, XML, API, and eCommerce.
Ability to create and execute Oracle and DB2 SQL queries.
Mentoring skills to provide guidance to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support personnel on problem analysis and resolution.
Experience creating training materials and contributing to the team knowledge base.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities:
Provide Tier 2 support for escalated EDI and B2B connectivity issues.
Analyze and identify trends in issue reporting and devise preventive solutions.
Mentor and train Tier 1 and Tier 2 support personnel on problem analysis and resolution.
Create training materials and contribute to the team knowledge base.
Collaborate with Level 2 support, implementation, and development teams.
Manage certificate updates and ensure proper communication with trading partners.
Schedule:
Mon - Fri 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm EST
Salary:
Target salary for this position will be $30-35/hr based on experience level
