Current NeedWe are seeking a Freight Audit & Pay Analyst to join our team in either Jacksonville FL or Richmond, VA. Our ideal candidate will be located within one hour of either location.Position SummaryThe Domestic Logistics team in the Transportation & Logistics group acts as liaison between internal teams (Distribution Center Receiving/Operations, Supply Chain Management, Product Strategy and Supplier Partnerships and Finance) and external teams (Carriers, Suppliers, and Intelligent Audit (Freight Auditor)). The Freight Audit & Pay Analyst role is responsible for monitoring supplier compliance and executing chargebacks, timely audit and payment of all freight invoices on behalf of the business unit, process improvement projects resulting in efficiencies that minimize cost exposure and/or result in financial savings, and monitoring / reporting out freight trends to leadership and Finance teams for budget forecasting.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as primary McKesson point of contact for Intelligent Audit (third party freight audit and pay) business partnershipDevelop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, fostering effective communication and collaborationIdentify billing errors in audit queue, working closely with carriers and internal teams to investigate and resolve in a timely mannerMonitor and track payment status of freight bills, ensuring timely and accurate payment to carriersMaintain and update freight GL coding directoryAnalyze transportation spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvementsProduce various reports and provide updates to management on freight audit and payment metrics, performance, and cost-saving initiativesReview post audit reporting and conducts reclass processes as neededExecute chargebacks against suppliers for non-compliance Monitor Salesforce queue for supplier disputesMonitor shared inbox for daily operations troubleshooting and support Participate in freight budget and transportation management system discussions and initiativesMinimum Requirements2 years of relevant experienceCritical Skills: 2 years of Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain/Finance/Accounts Payables experienceBeginner-to-Intermediate level experience with Intelligent Audit and/or a freight audit and pay systemExperience with creating written reports; must be able to effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholdersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent problem-solving and critical thinking skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsIntermediate Microsoft Office suite skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)Additional Knowledge & SkillsBeginner-to-Intermediate level experience with Intelligent Audit and/or a freight audit and pay systemBeginner-to-Intermediate level experience with Managed Receiving and/or an inbound dock scheduling systemBeginner-to-Intermediate level experience with Mercury Gate and/or a transportation management systemBeginner-to-Intermediate level SQL experience Beginner-to-Intermediate level EDI (856) ASN experienceEducation4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experienceWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
