Overview
McKibben Dental (Owner/Doctor) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our fun, amazing and nurturing dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the practice, providing exceptional support to both the dental team and patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Manage patient records using Dentrix and other relevant systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide education to patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently as a dental receptionist when required.
- Assist in prosthodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting the dentist as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical area, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of infection control practices within a dental setting.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix advantageous.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
